Funeral services for Mrs. Lear Elizabeth Summers, 93, were held Tuesday at the Servies Funeral Home in Waynetown. Mrs. Summers died Sunday in the Shahan Nursing Home in Crawfordsville. Born Feb 6 1865 in Parke County, she was the daughter of John and Amanda Myers Wagoner. She attended Morgan Station Public School and married Joseph M. Summers of Wallace in 1880 (note: 27 April 1882 Bk 8 p 468 Fountain County Marriages). She was a member of the Wolf Creek Baptist Church. Survivors include a daughter, Mrs. Gertrude Hallett of Waynetown; three sons, Byron of Tangier; Cyril of Veedersburg and Mark of Hillsboro; a half sister, Mrs. Zula Gaines of Kingman; a half-brother, Lonnie Gooding of Waynetown; 12 grandchildren; 23 great grandchildren and two great great grandchildren. Burial was in Wolf Creek Cemetery.
